This New Paradigm Requires a New Way of Being

We have all experienced loss. During this quarantine (or time of reconfiguration inside and out) evolution of humanity has increased dramatically. While some are still grieving their old way of being others are creating a new way of being. Many people are beginning to realize that power is within and we all hold it. It is in your spirit, your awareness. Which is why it is beneficial to not give away your power to others (be it media, people, institutions) to shape and mold with their beliefs..

Our world is going through a paradigm shift from the old and outdated to the new and improved. Is the emerging world bad, sad, exciting, inspiring? Well, that’s a matter of choice. How you perceive this new world is up to you. Only you choose your thoughts, experience your emotions and ultimately shape your reality.

While we have been reflecting so much on the life we once lived and gone inward to face the shadow self that has dominated our attitudes and behaviors for so long, there has been an awakening. The emotional intensity we have endured individually and collectively has awakened us to a renewed sense of self and what matters in life, whether we like it or not.

The human Spirit, or life force within, is motivating us to move on from the past, from the way things were, from who we were. It’s always been there and now more than ever is the time to acknowledge and embody this within you. By embracing your own Spirit you can turn uncertainty into resourcefulness and cultivate a deep relationship with you. This is the path to empowerment. Living an empowered life is living an authentic life, and you have to be in your own power to know what’s authentic to you.

Judgment has existed for far too long for the purpose of separation. It has made people anxious and scared and as a result many viewed life from a sense of lack. It’s made people feel small and entangled them in negative thoughts. Many learned to lead from ego as a form of self-protection, which became an accepted behavioral norm. People operated in a cycle of self-hatred and therefore outward hatred. People were pinned against people and found every false reason to identify in a strict narrow-mindedness. The culmination of this behavior over long periods of time created more fear and scarcity, and people became more easily influenced because they gave away their power.

This current shift in humanity is the impetus for release of the judgment and hatred that got us to this breaking point in the first place. As the world starts to re-engage and we enter into this new world, we have to address one another from a place of compassion. Our future requires communication with insight, authenticity, and emotional intelligence. We can speak and listen from a place of kindness and openness. Gone are the days of communication with no depth and meaning. Information and data for the sake of proving a fact by falsifying or manipulation; steering another to take on one’s belief; egoic twisting of information for the sake of self-preservation, will be obvious and therefore not acceptable.

Self-love, self-appreciation and connection with self is the way of being in our new world. People are feeling more drawn to align with their human Spirit and to show up as a whole person in every aspect of life. It will be desirable to have a deep relationship to self and live authentically, knowing that the more connected we are to our inner landscape and true self, the more our external relationships and realities thrive. We will become the leaders by example we’ve always known is possible.

“It will be desirable to have a deep relationship to self and live authentically, knowing that the more connected we are to our inner landscape and true self, the more our external relationships and realities thrive.”

It will no longer be perceived as weak to lead from the heart. You will not hesitate to be kind and compassionate, display your truth and share your values widely for fear of judgment or rejection. It will take courage and strength to exemplify this in your life. Yet, we all have to start somewhere and there is no right way. As long as your words and actions come from an authentic place, you’re moving forward. And when they don’t, it’s okay. The key is to not judge yourself nor act like it didn’t happen. Rather, find it within you to forgive yourself then move on.

In the words of one of my favorite writers Paulo Coelho, “one has to understand that braveness is not the absence of fear but rather the strength to keep on going forward despite the fear.” Even though many factors will change in our external world and the way we experience life, we don’t have to be scared. We have free will and can choose to put our focus where it counts in our lives.

This is a journey, both individually and collectively. Life is a marathon not a sprint, and positive changes will not happen overnight. There is no destination, just a long road. Stay in the present as often as possible and learn to listen to you. This is where your power and purpose lies.
